Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Aloha & Hula website and subscription service. By creating an account or using our classes, you agree to these Terms.

1. Overview

Aloha & Hula (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides on-demand, online streaming classes for hula and Tahitian dance. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “user”) and Aloha & Hula regarding your use of our website, classes, and related services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

To access classes, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a paid subscription. Accounts for users under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on the minor’s behalf (see our Parent/Guardian Information page).

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and be responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Subscription Tiers & Billing

We offer three subscription tiers: Free (no charge), Basic ($9.99/month), and Premium ($16.99/month). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) until you cancel.

By starting a paid subscription, you authorize us to charge the listed recurring fee to your selected payment method. Prices may change with reasonable notice; existing subscribers are notified before any price change takes effect.

Class access is tier-based. Free-tier users may access a limited selection of classes; Basic-tier users may access all basic-tier classes; Premium-tier users may access all classes, including premium content and live sessions where available. Upgrading takes effect immediately and may be prorated.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share, resell, or publicly redistribute class videos or content;
  • Download, record, copy, or scrape our content without permission;
  • Use the Service to harass others, transmit unlawful material, or violate any law;
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the website or its systems;
  • Reproduce or exploit our classes, branding, or materials for commercial purposes.

All content — including videos, choreography, descriptions, images, and the Aloha & Hula name — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to view classes for your own learning during an active subscription only.

5. Promotions & Contests

From time to time we may run promotions, giveaways, or drawings (for example, our “Win a Free Month” email contest). These are governed by any additional rules published with the promotion. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any promotion and to disregard entries made through fraud, automation, or abuse of our systems.

6. Discontinuation of the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any class, feature, or the entire Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible. We are not liable to you for any such change except as required by law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future billing; access continues until the end of your current paid period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is.” Dance is a physical activity that carries inherent risks — please review our Physical Activity & Assumption of Risk page. We are not medical providers, and our classes are not a substitute for professional medical advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aloha & Hula and its instructors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or claim arising from your use of the Service, except where prohibited by law.

8. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aloha & Hula operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled in good faith, and we aim to resolve concerns informally — contact us at faith@alohaandhula.com first.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
